Airman First Class Alexander Adeleye

2006 U.S. Air Force Material Command Engineering Technician of the Year

Ogbomosho Parapo Washington D.C. (OPDC) is happy to announce the honour bestowed on one of our children, Airman 1st Class, Alexander Adeleye, as the DESERT WARRIOR OF THE WEEK of the U.S. Air Force, Unit 95th Aerospace Medical Squadron.

We are happy because Alex did not hide his hometown, Ogbomoso as some people do. His official record listed his Hometown as Ogbomoso, Nigeria.

The justification for the award states that Airman Adeleye is a leader on and off the job. He instituted monthly verification checks of the Bioenvironmental Engineering Flight’s emergency response equipment ensuring the $190,000.00 inventory is ready for immediate use.

Airman Adeleye is leader in the local Drug Education for Youth program, personally inspiring 17 local community children with anti-drug programs. Airman Adeleye has completed 12 semester hours towards his Master’s degree in Management and Leadership while concurrently pursuing his CCAF in Bioenvironmental Engineering Technology.

This and many other reasons, is why Airman Adeleye was selected as 2006 U.S. Air Force Material Command Bioenvironmental Engineering Technician of the Year.

We felicitate with Air Adeleye and congratulate him for bringing honor to Ogbomoso. We also congratulate his parents now living in Maiduguri, where Professor Adeleye, the father, is teaching in the University of Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.
