Honour, glory and adoration to the Almighty God for making it possible and pleasant to be here again today for our anniversary. It was on Saturday, 11th October, 2008 we held our last Annual General Assembly under this roof, and here we are all gathered again to review our activities in the year and strategize towards contributing more and meaningfully to the growth and development of Ogbomosoland, the land of our birth, the land bequeathed to us by God through our progenitors (the five musketeers, the Aales, the Ohunsiles; the Orisatolus; the Akandes and the Ogunlolas). It is indeed gratifying to be with you once again at this forum. We are all alive today through the grace of God and what can we actually say unto HIM for the special grace than to say Thank You Lord. - A Tribute to: Jokotoye Babalola by Christopher Agboola Ajao
Dr. Deacon Joseph Jokotoye Akinniyi Babalola, Alade Ogboo, a quintessential gentleman, had impeccable pedigree having descended from the Oyenekan dynasty of Ile-Otun, Oke Olola, Ogbomoso. Yoruba custom and tradition ordinarily would not have allowed me to call him by name, he being an Elder and a Senior to me at a “School” where seniority is all important. Therefore, I call him “Egbon Atata” a phrase coined by, and which I have borrowed from Professor E. A. Ayandele, hence the sub – title to this tribute “Egbon Atata”. More ..

The late Nigerian activist, scholar, newspaper columnist, social campaigner and exemplary Pan Africanist Dr. Tajudeen Abdulraheem was last night named as the Daily Trust African of the Year for 2009. The choice was announced by the Advisory Board at a special dinner and award ceremony at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, which was attended by Mrs Winnie Madhkizela-Mandela and the Ghanaian Member of Parliament Mrs Samia Nkrumah, among other prominent guests. Ogbomoso Community Foundation becomes A School Management Organisation
Ogbomoso Community Foundation
successfully bidded as a school Management Organization (SMO)
under the Federal Ministry of Education
Public and Private PARTNERSHIP Initiative
in Education. OCF is new an SMO
for the Federal Government College,
Ogbomoso. As an SMO, OCF will ensure
that the objectives and goals of the
school are pursued with vigour.
